 FOCUS ON SCOTLAND
LIFT MODERNISATION IN ONE OF THE UK’S GOVERNMENT’S SCOTTISH FACILITIES
Across Scotland and the remainder
of the UK, Lester Controls ALMEGA II lift controllers are extensively used to manage a variety of lifts in Government owned facilities. One of these in particular is a 5-storey plus basement administration centre in Glasgow.
The lift modernisation project is being undertaken by Stannah and relates to a duplex pair of passenger lifts that each have a 10-person, 800kg capacity. Our local team in Glasgow have been working on the ALMEGA II controller specification with Stannah to ensure easy integration
with the existing and other new other equipment being installed. Apart from the two controllers, we will also be supplying a new car operating panels, all new landing signalisation and CEDES absolute positioning systems.
   TOWN HOUSE UPGRADE
Designed by famous Glasgow architect John Baird and constructed circa 1840, Claremont Terrace is a historic prime residential location in Glasgow. The terrace, close to Kelvingrove Park, one of Glasgow's oldest public parks, has direct views and access to fully managed enclosed public gardens.
One of the town houses in the 3-storey plus basement terrace, required urgent upgrade work to a passenger lift to restore its reliability. Hart Lifts, operating from their Glasgow facilities were asked to undertake the work required which involved Lester Controls supplying a Lester Xpress ALMEGA II controller with an accelerated delivery time.
