NEW PRODUCTS
LESTER XPRESSLITE
The new Lester XpressLite was introduced in December 2020
in two versions, Traction and Hydraulic. They have been designed to meet the growing needs for fast turnaround lift controllers. Although the Lester XpressLite has now become
our most cost-effective control solution, it continues to utilise the powerful Almega II processor, with the addition of the Invertek inverter range, which are compact and complement the features of the XpressLite package.
Both Lester XpressLite traction and hydraulic lift controllers will manage travel of up to 8-floors
and come with a two-year warranty. Our first order in December 2020 for
an XpressLite controller came from Saltire Lifts in Lanarkshire.

ALMEGA I & II COVID SOFTWARE
CONTROLS PASSENGER FLOW
PREVENTS PASSENGERS ENTERING AN OCCUPIED CAR
SOCIAL DISTANCING ACHIEVED
COVID safe building and lift access has been paramount for property owners and facility managers for almost a year. We have seen many buildings closed
to employees and many others with restricted access.
As we see a steady return to work, particularly in city centres, medium and high-rise offices, continuing rigorous safety procedures are expected to be the norm for many months ahead.
With this in mind, last year, our technical team (better known as ‘Lester
Technology Geeks’) set to and developed an ALMEGA I or II software update
that gave building owners and facility managers control of lift access, social distancing and passenger flow.
The new COVID software was released last October and has found its way into many commercial and hospitality (hotels) buildings. A low-cost software upgrade, that can be turned on and off as a building’s population changes and transfer risks subside.
