EMPLOYEE NEWS
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Many of our customers will already know that last September we appointed Ian Carter to the position of Business Development Manager covering the Southern parts of the UK.
Ian’s background in the industry includes working for a leading independent lift manufacturer, covering both lift and escalator modernisation, along with new installs and experience
in the consulting field. As a result, Ian’s understanding of our customers’ needs is ideal for problem solving difficult projects. Along with Scott Williamson our Northern Business Development Manager, we are now able to give increased assistance to customers who are undertaking new installation, modernisation and upgrade projects, relating to both lifts and escalators.
Both Ian and Scott are now able to assist customers with site visits prior to order, helping with specifying controllers to interface with existing or replacement equipment. This includes both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
 25 YEARS SERVICE
Along with my fellow Directors, we all feel enormously proud of our staff
and their ongoing commitment to our businesses, particularly during the lockdowns we have experienced. For
a large proportion of our staff, this commitment to Lester Controls has spanned decades and in 2021 another one of our valued employees, Jim Cleave achieved his 25th anniversary with us.
On behalf of everyone who has worked with Jim, I would like to send my best regards and thanks for his continued dedication.

FAREWELL BUT NOT GOODBYE TO DENISE
Many of our customers and certainly all the team at our Croydon offices will be aware that Denise Winter, one of our
administrators left our business to look after her husband.
Along with other administrative duties Denise was also responsible for undertaking our ancillary products invoicing.
Denise had been with us for 13
years, during which time, she had become truly “Lesterised”. We all fully understand the importance of her new
role, but nevertheless miss her smiling face in the office and hope to see her again once lockdown has ended.
I know I speak for everyone and wish Denise and her husband the very best.
