About Lester Controls

Founded in 1984, Lester Controls has become one of the UK’s best-known manufacturers of traction and hydraulic lift and escalator controllers. Our ethos has always been to design and manufacture competitively priced controllers, from launching our first relay-based controller, to the very successful MP500, in the early 1990s. Today, we manufacture a wide range of controllers which are site-specific and include complex multi-group features with internet and GSM connectivity.

Lester Controls now employs over 100 plus people, and operate from four locations. We design, manufacture and deliver lift and escalator controllers across the UK and into Europe, for regional lift and escalator businesses through to industry leading global organisations. We also stock an extensive range of circuit boards and ancillary parts to support customers who maintain the 41,000 Lester Controls controllers in service.
