Lester Controls close working partnership with Magnetek have come up with the replacement to the old Ward Leonard DC drive system and produce an intelligent control system utilising the DSD 412 DCSCR drive.
Fitting the necessary filter chokes and mains transformers we can produce a control system making the existing generator set redundant.
For geared applications we recommend a 4,096 ppr pulsing encoder and for gearless a 10,000 ppr encoder. We can supply either complete with a mounting kit.
For these high speed applications we suggest installation using the Schmersal USP shaft positioning device which can give accurate and controlled floor levelling.
